Yemeni Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 22nd of October 1995 (12736) and received their “excellent member” rating. The main concept behind A’Alam Al-Dawa was to establish a company with the vision of fulfilling the needs of the local Yemeni market with state of the art technology in medical equipment, and to have available all of the drugs and medicine that may be needed at affordable prices.

A‘Alam Al-Dawa was established with respect for human life, and promotion of human health in mind. We strive to improve the well being of society, and always insist on representing companies that develop top quality products and introducing them at affordable prices. Being one of the first establishments to make management performances available to the public has strengthened our already strong and distinctive customer relations and solidified our image as a people-oriented company, making our dream come true as well as our customers'dream.

A'Alam Al-Dawa is a leading Yemeni company in the medical field. Our main products range from human medical products, infusion solutions, dental accessories, laboratory reagent and equipment, as well as medical appliances. Our main customers in Yemen are the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Defense, Government hospitals, private clinics, pharmacies and laboratories

We have 97 dedicated and qualified employees managed by the senior management board, including medical representatives, sales managers, accountants, administrative personnel, distributors, and conductors. Our company is expanding rapidly - in addition to the branches that we currently operate in Taiz, Hodeidah, and Dhamar, we are having subagents throughout all of Yemen. We plan to open more branches throughout Yemen.

Marketing Plan 

1- To study the products of your company and compare them with competitive products in the market.
2- To get statistics from the MOH about the quantities of identical products imported in the last three years.
img43- State the annual forecast quantities to be imported in the first year for each product.
4- Find selling centers for these products.
5- Employ qualified Medical Representatives.
6- Provide training courses on our.
7- Make annual and monthly selling plans for these products.
8- Provide the Medical Rep. with the promotional materials they require to help sell these products and convince doctors of our quality.
9- Hold seminars in five star hotels and invite all Specialists.
10- Distribute these products to pharmacies, hospitals and wholesalers, and supply our branches in the other govern orates.
11- Making short seminars in hospitals.
12- Divide Yemen into areas and appoint a Medical Rep. for each area.
13- In the morning, Medical Reps. will visit their area hospitals to conduct short meetings with the concerned sections, while handing out brochures and providing breakfast for the doctors. In the afternoon, they will visit doctors in their private clinics and give them any available samples and promotional materials in order to establish their cooperation.
14- To observe and follow the Medical Reps. through a supervisor.
15- Ask each Medical Rep. to provide a study on each doctor.
16- Provide a facility to our customers in terms of payment.
17- Give out bonuses for big orders.
18- Give discounts for cash payments.
19- Make agreements with reputable hospitals to give them an annual commission and supply them with our products year-round.
20- Participate in local trade fairs and scientific seminars organized by universities, etc.
21- Advertise our products in Health Directories and magazines.


Relationship between our company, its clients, and other sources

Because of our qualified employees and our President’s extensive relations with high officials on the Supreme Board of Drugs, assisting us with product registration, our company has had successful relationships with all of its clients.

We also maintain a good relationship with the Ministry of Defense, which helps us to get tenders, and with each of the Drug Fund Committee members in large public hospitals, public agencies, and international agencies such as UNICEF, Doctors Without Boarders, Red Crescent, the Anti-Malaria center, the Anti-AIDS center, and the Anti-Tuberculosis center. The company has an intelligent policy regarding tenders and we capitalize on our relationships with tender sources to ensure that our products win out.
